Charterhouse is working with an international freight forwarding organisation whom are in the process of looking to identify a Finance Manager for their Qatar based operation.

The incumbent will be responsible for the oversight and management of the Qatar finance department whilst having ownership of all the consolidations of the financial accounts. The functional coverage shall extend to the production of management accounts and commentaries to deliver internal flash reports and positions, as well as audit management and reviews. You shall also take control of all planning and forecasting aspects, coupled with the ownership of the budget process, CAPEX, bank communication, working capital management and payroll. This role shall also comprise of ad-hoc duties to assist in the development of financial policy working alongside the corporate office aligning to the local market conditions.

Requirements

The successful candidate should be an experienced financial professional, who can demonstrate at least 10 years of exposure, within a corporate finance and reporting based role. You should possess strong financial accounting and audit background along with a proven background of financial reporting and governance related policies. Coupled with these technical capabilities, candidates shall be expected to manage excellent presentations and analytical based reviews and strategic support for management. This role will also play a pivotal part with the external auditors, financial institutions and any regulatory authority whilst reporting internally across international jurisdictions. The nature of the organisation means that the client will look to identify candidates in Qatar from within the freight forwarding, with exposure to project-based operations, ensuring an ease of inception.
