Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The ideal candidate should have hands on experience in handling of accounts independently Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities and provide high quality support service to line managers/officers in the organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
• Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Establish tables of accounts, and assign entries to proper accounts.
• Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
• Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information.
• Secures financial information by completing data base backups.
• Develop, implement, modify, and document record keeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
• Prepare forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping personnel, and direct their work activities.
• Maintain and examine the records of government agencies and clientele.
• Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analysing account information.
• Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
• Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
• Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
• Payroll reconciliation
• Prepare monthly sales reports into excel spread sheet for analysis
• Verify and reconcile contracts, orders, and vouchers, and prepares reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and must be a Qualified Chartered Accountant
• High degree of communication skills particularly attuned to working well with non-finance professionals.
• Used to working in fast moving environments providing accurate and timely information to a high standard
• Two to Three year working experience post qualification.
