Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Purpose:

Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and maintain an effective planning and analysis capability that will provide senior leadership with appropriate analytical tools to establish goals and measure performance of the Company’s portfolio of businesses.
- Routinely communicate business unit and company consolidated financial and operational performance trends, historical and forecasted, using appropriate metrics. Suggest trends, resulting implications, key actions, and strategic implications.
- Plans, designs, creates and optimizes complex MS Excel, and MS Access scripts, reports. Develops complex mathematical, statistical and operational models and conducts analyses that relate Sales and operations activities to financial results to assist management understanding the costs associated with operational activities, as well as the situations and work practices that cause increased variances in those costs.
- Lead scenario modelling efforts for the development and growth of the portfolio.
- Influence the accuracy and effectiveness of the corporate accounting consolidation and closing process and operations through analytical review and trend analysis.
- Lead the strategic aspects of the annual operating plan and budget process for the company.
- Support the strategic business planning process.
- Model potential changes to capital structure, acquisition and divestiture planning, shareholder returns.
- Monitor competitive dynamics of the sectors (liaise with sector associates).
- Supports capital and operating budget development for departments with Accounting & Budgets; recommends and supports proposed budget amendments based on actual performance against planned work volumes and budgets.
- Tracks and reports variances against work plans and budgets, including but not limited to:
- Reports of actual against forecasted monthly budgets.
- Reports of capital and operating expenditures against the planned budget.
- Reports of actual unit cost against planned unit costs.
- Assists company Operations in understanding and mitigating the situations that lead to variances.
- Provides ongoing management and maintenance of the operational performance data for reporting. Accomplish the reports requirements by Ooredoo and Abu Issa Holding Group

Requirements

- Degree in Finance or Accounting -is a must
- MBA or CPA or ACCA or CMA equivalent –preferable
- Minimum 2 + years of relevant experience
- Previous work experience in telecommunication and outsourcing industries -is a plus
- Work experience in using Microsoft Dynamics AX is a plus.

Skills Required:
- Must be a quick-learner with the ability to comprehend complex models and systems
- Must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic and an eagerness to contribute in a team-oriented environment
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with a focused attention to detail, accuracy, and quality of end-results. Analytical consulting skills a plus.
- Strong communications skills with the ability to present and discuss technical information.
- Organizational, planning and follow-through skills with the ability to manage multiple projects under high pressure situations.
- Must be computer literate with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office with advanced skills in MS-Excel, MS-Access and the ability to display ideas through presentations, flowcharts and graphs
- Business intelligence and planning tool software experience is a plus
