Fit-Out Engineer

Job description / Role

- Oversees the fit-out move-in, move-out process of tenants. Ensures continuity of standards across the retained portfolio, which may be under the day-to-day building and property management of different suppliers.
- Manage and oversee works undertaken on QD retained assets in Qatar, including fit-out works associated with the tenant move-in / move-out process and alterations/ refurbishments undertaken during the terms of tenancies
- Ensure ODs interests in the property as landlord and owner are protected
- Organize and lead regular site progress meetings with sub-contractors to monitor progress, quality and safety, ensuring the Construction Manager and Project Manager are updated on all issues
- Co-ordinate and manage third-party suppliers
- Ensure works are undertaken in accordance with QD's policies and procedures and local statutory requirements
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance

- 4+ years' experience in Facilities Management. Construction Engineering, or other related discipline
- Experience of working in a landlord environment is preferred
- Site Management contract experience
- Experience in the commercial sector
- Be conversant with using computer-aided design {CAD), rivet and other 3D modelling tools used in the industry
- Be conversant with local statutory requirements and building regulations
- Ability to Identify the problems before they become critical & Formulate Practical solutions to the Fit-out Issues
- Experienced in Site and Project Management
- Experienced in procurement, reviewing specifications and selecting materials
- Reviewing of Conceptual drawings/ detailed drawings
- Skilled at managing multiple tasks and competing demands
- Technically qualified to HNC/ONC {or equivalent) in a building or engineering subject
