Job description / Role
We, at Guildhall, are currently looking for an Operations Director – Facility Management on behalf of our client in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership, guidance, support, and direction for the cleaning and maintenance of all Facilities, aiming to achieve the best results.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Oversee operations of the company working with Senior Management from other contracts and departments.
- Have overall strategic and operational responsibility for the delivery of all Projects contracts.
- Overseeing financial and technical matters with a focus on performance of services delivered.
- Draft and submit Financial Budgets for each service sector to Senior Management showing financial performance outputs.
- Support the preparation of new opportunities with reviewing the organization structure, technical specifications, and financial parameters in cooperation with the Business Development Team.
- Ensure contract compliance with the company's policies and regulations on Quality, Environment and Health & Safety and Qatari labour laws.
- Deliver a high quality of service solutions through the understanding of building assets and the associated required cleaning and maintenance solutions.
- Develop a bid strategy and solutions in collaboration with the Business Development team cost and operating strategies and tactics.
- Identify and quantify risks, mitigation measures, and opportunities.
- Provide leadership and collaborate with the operations team during the mobilization phase.
- Ensure a high standard of all staff´s personal hygiene and appearance and general cleanliness to comply with statutory and Company regulations.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Engineering or equivalent.
- Fifteen years' experience in Facility Management business.
- Previous experience in leading facilities management and maintenance functions on large projects.
- Fluent in English; Arabic is desirable.
- Proven ability in leadership, team building, time management, driving results, innovation, negotiation, and customer management.
- Excellent communication skills, business acumen, and exemplary work ethics.
