Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Currie & Brown has a range of opportunities within the Middle East region and is currently seeking a Forensic Planner/ Delay Analyst to work on an infrastructure project in Qatar.

You will be reporting to the Senior Contracts Manager and responsible for an area or a programme of post contract administration for all contractor and consultant contracts.
You will be working with the Senior Claims Manager to carry out detailed analysis of the delays and disruption events claimed by the associated contractor(s) or consultant(s) for prolongation and compensation, as well as preparing your own delay analysis where required. The findings shall be submitted within detailed reports.

Responsible for:
• Obtaining the information and documentation to allow an accurate analysis to be undertaken.
• Analysing and reporting on contractor and/or consultant delay claims.
• Preparing and developing the appropriate delay analysis of complex claims.
• Understanding the various principles of delay analysis and the ability to transfer this knowledge in a written format or in a client facing situation.
• Drafting counter claims to the contractor and/or consultant extension of time claims and providing input into related cost claims.
• Performing critical path analysis of relevant and complex schedules.
• Managing claim commissions within strict time frames.
• Contributing to the preparation of weekly and monthly reports.

Requirements

• Must hold a relevant degree
• At least have 15 years’ post graduate experience within the construction industry and at least 5 years forensic planning / delay analysis experience.
• Knowledgeable in all commercial aspects of major civil and infrastructure projects including roads, bridges and utilities.
• Excellent report writing skills.
• Familiar with dispute resolution forums (e.g. arbitration) and demonstrate experience of such.
• Must have expertise in preparing, negotiating and presenting delay analysis on construction claims.
• Expert knowledge of key scheduling issues and the cumulative effect of delays to the schedule.
• Expert user of Primavera P6 and Pertmaster.
• Fluency in English language both spoken and written.
