Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

ROLE SUMMARY
• Operate different type/tonnage of forklift, Loading and unloading different kind of waste skips/pallet/crates and materials.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Perform daily Equipment checklist inspection, Identify and report faulty equipment’s, damages, and safety concerns to Supervisor immediately.
• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities.
• Follow the team leader defends on which location transferring material on the assign task.
• Empty and move skips, containers and drums of waste to pallets for storage or disposal
• Identifying hazard before initiating jobs to eliminate possible risk on the activities.
• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.

PERFORMANCE MEASURES/SUCCESS CRITERIA
• Proven experience as forklift operator – min. of 3 years.
• Excellent physical condition and coordination
• Valid 3rd party certification to operate forklifts

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum 2 years’ experience of operating forklifts (5 to 10 Ton).
• Holding valid forklift license for the state of Qatar.
• Have valid 3rd party certificate.
• High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment
• Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner
• Moderate level of English Language

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Ability to follow instruction of team leader.
• Having good eye-hand-foot coordination
• Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season
• Having a good sense of balance
• Ability of decision making while doing critical lifting
