Freight Forwarding Manager – Sea Freight

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Freight Forwarding Manager specializing in Sea Freight to lead our logistics operations in Qatar. Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the entire sea freight forwarding process from initial inquiry to final delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation solutions.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance sea freight operations, including route optimization and carrier selection.
- Maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, agents, and other stakeholders to negotiate rates and ensure reliable service delivery.
- Monitor shipment status and resolve any issues or delays promptly, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with all international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and documentation processes.
- Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.
- Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth and improvement in sea freight services.
- Prepare and manage the budget for sea freight operations, ensuring cost control and financial efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments, including sales, operations, and customer service, to ensure seamless coordination and execution of logistics activities.
- Implement and maintain quality control measures to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Qatar in freight forwarding, with at least 3 years in a management role focusing on sea freight.
- In-depth knowledge of sea freight operations, international shipping regulations, and customs compliance.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with carriers and clients.
- Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing a team.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficient in using logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills in English, Hindi & Malayalam is mandatory
- A strong customer service orientation and the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.

Salary:
QAR 10,000 to 12,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
