Employment: Full Time

What you will be doing:

- Reports directly to Shift Leader.
- Interacts and cooperates with other Front Office employees as appropriate.
- Interacts and cooperates with other hotel departments as appropriate.
- Interacts and cooperates with other hotel guests as appropriate respecting the hierarchy.
- Greets guest courteously upon arrival.
- Ensures that all guests receive warm genuine and courteous welcome whenever they approach the desk.
- Assigns rooms for arriving guests.
- Advise all guests of their room numbers, room rates, departure date and time.
- Promotes in house services and facilities upon check in.
- Acts as a sales person in order to maximize room revenue enhancing the up selling front office program.
- Keeps an accurate room status at all times.
- Maintains and controls the signed registration cards and the room rates
- Follow up on accurate billings and right covering.
- Handles complaints efficiently and promptly.
- Actively participates in group/crew rooming.
- Handles guest needs, inquiries and requests on time and efficiently.
- Ensures that all pertinent information is recorded on registration card.
- Reports daily activity in log book.
- Ensures that the archive room is well organized and updated
- Maintains a good employee relationship.
- Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
- After completion of all relevant hotel training programs and upon receipt of the hotel (departmental) handout, you must adhere to and be completely conversant with.
- Hotel Fire and Evacuation Procedures
- Hotel Security (bomb threat) Procedures
- Hotel Health and Safety Policy and Procedure
- Hotel Facilities and attractions
- Hotel operational standards and departmental procedures.
- Short and long term marketing promotions.
- All sections contained within the Hotel Handbook.
- La Cigale Hotel Environmental Policy.

Requirements

Your experience and skills include:

- Bachelor's degree in business or related field
- Experience in customer relationship management
- Experience in managing and directing a sales team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Dedication to providing great customer service
- Have good listening skills
- Is able to put himself/ herself in the audience's shoes
- Is able to follow up and follow through
- Has the ability to network in a genuine - authentic way
- Is persistent, and has the ability to focus, priorities, manage tasks and meet deadlines
- Work experience in Qatar is an added advantage
