Job description / Role
1.Review functional requirements and design detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and technical specifications.
2. Execute functional tests to ensure that software applications function as intended according to the specified requirements. This includes testing user interfaces, databases, and other application components.
3. Identify, document, and track defects found during testing. Provide clear and actionable defect reports and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
4. Perform regression testing to ensure that new features or fixes don’t impact existing functionality.
5. Execute functional tests and document the results, ensuring they align with expected outcomes. Prepare detailed test summary reports and assist in preparing the final test result presentations.
6. Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, understand system functionality, and ensure complete test coverage.
7.Work alongside automation testers to assist in the identification of test cases suitable for automation, though manual testing is the primary focus of the role.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
1.Proven experience as a Functional Tester or QA Tester (1+ years).
2.Strong understanding of functional testing concepts, software development life cycles (SDLC), and software testing methodologies.
3.Ability to design detailed test cases based on functional requirements.
4.Familiarity with defect tracking tools and test management tools .
5.Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and troubleshoot functional defects.
Salary:
QAR
13,000 to 14,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
