Job description / Role
It is essential that the candidate is a native/fluent Arabic speaker, aa a number of key stakeholders who the employee will work with are Arabic speakers. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately recording all day-to-day financial transactions of the company
Responsibilities
* Use the accounting software to record day to day financial transactions in the correct accounts
* Liaise with other departments for understanding the nature of each transaction and obtaining all relevant evidence for the postings
* Perform bank and suppliers reconciliations
* Analyze and control the fixed assets and expenses
* Maintain registers of suppliers, supply agreements, and fixed assets
* Assist in calculation of taxes and the completion of tax forms
* Assist with payroll records
* Enter data, maintain records and run reports in MS Excel spreadsheets
* Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
* Assist the CFO with daily accounting administrative duties
Requirements
The Candidate
* Education in Accounting, Finance or relevant
* 1-5 years Bookkeeping experience (including double entries)
* Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
* Ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
* Experience with MS Excel spreadsheets
* Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
* Great attention to detail
* Eager to learn, develop and undertake new tasks and responsibilities
* Proficiency in English and Arabic
* Knowledge of Russian will be considered an advantage
