General Aviation Services Officer – Qatar Aviation Services

The Role

Reporting to Customer Care Manager you will primarily work in Doha International Airport and can expect to oversee daily operations involving 150 flights (Qatar Airways & Other Airlines) & over 20,000 passengers. The required job will be on a rotating shift for 24 hours airport operation & you may be required to report at irregular hours and /or work duration when necessary. As an Officer you will have direct impact on Qatar Aviation Services operations effectiveness and efficiency as well as its reputation.

The scope of work includes planning, organizing, controlling and managing all aspects related to General Aviation Services on a regular basis and embraces Qatar Airways mission and vision of delivering 5-Star Services on the Ground. You will have to ascertain that all the handling activities are achieved in accordance to the safety and security procedures set by the organization and local security. Also to keep records for all flights handled and to generate monthly reports.

You will also have to coordinate with other departments within the organization for all Ad-hoc flights expected and to ensure smooth operations and service delivery standards are met at all times. Experience of leading, managing, inspiring and engaging a large multi-cultural workforce is very much needed in this role.


You should be educated to degree level or equivalent practical experience with at least 8 years experience in Ground Services functionalities, out of which 3 years being spent in Supervisory level with an overall knowledge of Ground Handling Procedures. Professionally equipped with Safety & Security Practices as stipulated by ICAO/IATA, possess sound knowledge of JAR OPS and Dangerous Goods Handling procedures.

Excellent personnel development skills including team building, hands on approach to the daily operation, and excellent communication skills in spoken/written English, with proficiency on advanced computer applications are essential requirements of the job.
