Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

General Manager with a strong client service background and digital expertise to lead Mirage Digital’s Doha office. This person will play a key role in overseeing the establishment of Mirage as a premier media agency in Qatar. Deep knowledge of digital with a pulse on innovation is key. The right hire will be business and technology savvy who brings an executive presence internally and externally. This is a truly exciting role for someone with deep client, digital and media experience. This role also manages the marketing activities of AH and all its businesses.

Internal Client Work
• Managing all marketing for the company and activities within the marketing department.
• Developing the marketing strategy for the company (AH & its SBU’s) in line with company objectives.
• Coordinating marketing campaigns with sales activities.
• Overseeing & managing the company’s marketing budget.
• Creation and publication of all marketing material in line with marketing plans.
• Planning and implementing promotional campaigns.
• Manage and improve lead generation campaigns, measuring results.
• Overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity
• Preparing online and print marketing campaigns.
• Monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing communications.
• Creating a wide range of different marketing materials.
• Assisting with new product / concept launches.
• Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant company functions are kept informed of marketing objectives.
• Analysing potential strategic partner relationships for company marketing.
• Manage team effectively and in conjunction with the HR department, recruit, train and supervise staff.

Financial
• Accountable for revenue generation and target margin for all clients
• Attains P&L targets through a combination of existing and new business development
• Works with representatives to set revenue and margin targets by account and establishes effective pricing and staffing levels for each client
• Monitor P&L fluctuations to proactively identify risks and resolve appropriately
• Manages revenue/budget forecasting for all accounts in their portfolio, providing ongoing updates to management
• Delivers the target margin %, works closely with Finance to accurately forecast and monitor the financial growth and success of the office, and in turn, the region and agency.
• Preparation of short-term and long-range departmental plans and budgets based on the corporate goals, growth objectives and strategy.
• Works with team to establish effective pricing and staffing levels for each client; monitors P&L fluctuations to proactively identify risks and opportunities.

External Client Work
• Serves as executive sponsor and nurtures key senior level client relationships; ensures that all key accounts have a solid account growth plan
• Accountable for leading the Client Planning process for all clients in the region, including format, reporting and progress
• Responsible for development of sales strategy, including targeting key clients; leads key new business development initiatives and sells work
• Ensures that account teams are leading and bringing new ideas to the client

Mirage Digital Brand and Culture Building
• Accountable for leading and inspiring the office to deliver amazing work
• Responsible for spearheading office culture and integration with offices and people around the country
• Actively attracts, markets and recruits top talent for Mirage Digital in the market in conjunction with the HR department
• Serves as a key voice for Mirage Digital; speaks at conferences, builds rapport with key media outlets, etc.
• Mentors and coaches on an ongoing basis to identify personal career objectives, and provide appropriate development opportunities based on individual needs in order to ensure effective succession plans.

Organization
• Develops the annual strategic plan for the office; owns and delivers overarching office initiatives/goals
• Responsible for driving key business initiatives and solutions in an ever-evolving service offering
• Evaluates and reports the results of overall operations regularly
• Ensures open and fluid communication and builds community across all disciplines and account teams - Builds and develops the next generation of leaders in the agency
• Work with Human Resources Department to develop and execute staffing plans to ensure the department is positioned for success
• Guides and directs the local team in the development, production, and execution of the agency's capabilities and services to ensure all services align with the agency's vision, core competencies and financial goals.

Skills
• Strong knowledge or experience in marketing and advertising, with particular emphasis on digital, interactive media, direct marketing, strategy, and analytics
• Driven, results-oriented with a 'can do' attitude who can translate unstructured business situations into innovative customer marketing programs
• Creative thought leader, strong analytically and at the same time a pragmatic thinker

Experience & Qualifications
• 10+ years of agency/consultancy / account management experience, with a strength in digital
• 10+ years of demonstrated track record of developing solid level client relationships and account growth
• Proven experience in managing teams and working cross-functionally across complex organizations
• 5+ years’ experience in strategy and operations at a consulting firm, advertising agency, or major Corporation.
• College degree required, MBA degree or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in managing multiple client P&Ls
