General Manager - Luxury

Job description / Role

An established retail group based in Qatar is seeking a General Manager for their fashion division. The General Manager will report into the CEO and will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of international and home-grown brands. The retail group represents some of leading brands across the Middle East. This person will be heading up and responsible for the strategy, operations and regional development of the current brands as well as looking at new brands to acquire.

* Responsible for all aspects of the brands operations across multiple geographic locations and sites across the GCC
* Plan, direct and coordinate various aspects of the operating area with assistance from the Operations Manager
* Create, review and implement business procedures including retail guidelines
* Full P&L, operational and commercial responsibility for the brands
* Team recruitment, budgeting and forecasting, negotiating strategic alliances
* Ensure that operations run smoothly and according to the brands guidelines.
* Manage and utilize the funds and expenditures of the various operations carried out by the business
* Act as liaison between the executive management and the employees/store staff
* Develop the retail design strategy for new store openings and renovations across the GCC
* International business development looking at new brands to bring to the existing portfolio
* Manage and maintain relationships with brand principles

Requirements

* At least 10 years' experience working with an established retail group in the GCC
* Minimum Bachelor Degree in a relevant field
* Managerial experience developing and growing a team
* Experience working with a retail group/brand in the Middle East is preferred but not essential
