Job description / Role
Oversee the marketing and sales function and general business operations for this profit center. In this role, the General Manager establishes business plan objectives and ensures effective operations to achieve sales and operational goals:
• Lead and manage all aspects of Steel Metals including but not limited to sales and business development, operations, safety, material procurement, quality and logistics
• Provide strategic and tactical sales leadership to increase company’s market share, sales and profitability to achieve business plan targets
• Determine products to be sold; set prices and credit terms based on forecasts of customer demand
• Maintain excellent customer relations by providing prompt and effective service to customers at all times and investigate to conclusion and resolution customer claims
• Schedule and ensure customer delivery dates; Ensure orders are processed according to customer specifications and quality requirements are met
• Develop and manage budgets and control expenses to increase efficiency, fund operations and maximize profits
• Review financial statements, sales reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement; Allocate resources and review progress to make mid-course corrections, if indicated
• Practice and enforce ethical business practices
Requirements
• Engineer (Mechanical /Civil) to demonstrate strategic ability of providing best solutions.
• Knowledge in experience with Steel/Metal industry
• 10 Years of work experience in the steel industry
• Min of 5 years of work experience as Manager
• GCC Experienced , Well aware of the current market
• Planning and organizational skills with the ability to successfully execute business plans
• Interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multi-discipline team environment with customers and co-workers from different backgrounds, educational levels, and skill sets
