Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Objectives: As the General Manager you will be responsible for the set up of retail warehouse/ distribution center, retail reverse logistics and direct to consumer fulfillment. Ensuring effective operations of receiving, warehousing and distribution operations through effective supply chain management.

Main responsibilities:
- Oversee the efficient receipt, storage, value adding servicing and delivery of retail fashion and sporting goods
- Responsible for the set up of the warehouse layout, rehoming equipment investments ensuring efficient space utilization
- Ensure productivity targets are set and achieved through designing and implementing a clear logistics strategy
- Create Policies and Procedures related to management and operations of the Warehouse
- Ensure compliance to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislations
- Manage stock control and reconciliation with data storage system
- Accountable for reporting including budgets and profit and loss alongside the Finance Team
- Build, develop and nurture effective working networks (internal and external) including suppliers and transportation companies
- Plan work rotations, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results
- Working alongside Group Human Resources recruit, select, coach and motivate employees
- Provide analytics and statistical reporting related to the productivity and operations
- Receive and act upon feedback to monitor quality of service delivered to customers
- Responsible for end to end project delivery within agreed timeframes and budgets
- Create supply and demand model initiatives to cater for operations and facilitate business requirements in relation to logistics processes
- Define and agree logistics/warehousing road maps to support current and future requirements of the business to reflect growth plans
- Identify and implement best in class technology and infrastructure suitable to the cope and size of the business along with disciplines that underlie logistics and supply chain operations
- Develop and implement distribution best practises such as system integration and optimisation, inventory control and demand planning

Travel requirements: occasional travel within the Country

Requirements

University Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or relevant field

Nature and length of previous experience: Must possess a minimum of 10 years experience in Retail Logistics
