Job description / Role
Our client, a Leading Diversified Group in Qatar is seeking to hire a Group CFO to manage their portfolio. This position will be based out of their offices in Qatar and will spearhead the financial function and overall strategy of the organisation.
Client Details
* Our client is a Large Holding Company in Qatar with diversified interests - they have more than 50 companies under their umbrella and employ over 3500 professionals. They are recruiting a Group CFO to manage their portfolio of investments and manage the overall profitability of the organisation.
Description
* Business partner with the CEO and the board to develop and oversee the Group's financial strategy
* Conduct due diligence for new investments, acquisitions, disposals, and ad-hoc projects
* Create budgets and financial projections in accordance with the business plan
* Develop and implement internal controls to ensure efficient financial operations as per industry standards
* Implement efficient technology wherever required to drive business value in alignment with the Group's goal
* Ensure that financial policies adhere to both national and global standards
* Maintain control over taxation, accounting, and finance to guarantee accurate and timely reporting
* Verify the accuracy of internal reports and financial accounts
* Oversee yearly audits and report financial findings to the board
* Partner effectively with banks, government agencies, and finance bodies
* Maintain cash liquidity
* Ensure that information is accessible on digital platforms
* Lead learning and development of direct reports and performance management of the overall team
* Identify and manage principal business risks while ensuring compliance with legal

Requirements:
* Bachelors or Masters Degree in Finance or Accounting or related
* Professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CMA, CPA, CIMA or CA is a huge added advantage
* Minimum 20 years of post graduate experience, of which, at least 8 are in a senior leadership role
* Experience within a Holding Company or a Diversified Conglomerate (Family Group) is a MUST
* Professional proficiency in Arabic is a huge added advantage
