Employment: Full Time

The founder of this Qatar organisation is a well-known visionary entrepreneur in the region that has achieved success building a diverse business portfolio that is recognised on a local, regional and international level. The company has subsidiaries within property, hospitality, education and transport sectors amongst others and the role of Group Credit & Treasury Manager will be supporting the Group CFO and managing a team of 5 direct reports.

You will provide effective cash flow management and strategic direction to the senior management team concerning FX trading and coordination of the hedging activities. Working closely with the corporate team you will be instrumental in the arrangement of inter-company funding to organisational requirements, updating constitutional documents, signatories’ lists and Board resolutions. In addition you will also be responsible for bank guarantees, renewals and cancellations, opening credit, following up these actions and taking an active lead on capital projects in line with global and regional treasury projects.

Within the Credit Manager role you will be solely responsible for ownership of key cash metrics including aged debt collections and working to ensure aged reports are monitored and collected as quickly as possible as per El Lilly credit policies and liaising with internal and external auditors. You will also review client’s credit worthiness, ensuring risk is minimal and that any major concerns are raised immediately. Part of the role will also include face to face meetings with distributors and suppliers to review their credit status and maintain strong working relationships with all concerned. Therefore Arabic language skills are essential.

Requirements

The successful candidate must have a strong finance career of 10 years plus, 5-7 years of which will be at a senior level. It is also essential that you possess an accountancy qualification of CIMA, CPA or equivalent and be educated to Masters standard. Fluency in the Arabic language is also essential and exposure to a large, diverse organisation with many different subsidiaries is a distinct advantage.
