Job description / Role
* Coordinate and Supervise the hard services team which also includes a grounds team to ensure service delivery to the client is of the highest possible standard.
* The team will consist of a number of hands-on tradespeople, including Technicians, plumbers, and a multi-trade expert as well as a grounds worker.
* Manages risk effectively by close supervision of the planning and execution of projects
* Works within cross-functional teams of facility partners, clients, contractors, and vendors to deliver critical infrastructure projects
* Ensures maintenance is performed and all project documentation is delivered to clients and facility partners
* Reviews electrical and mechanical drawings, Building Management network diagrams, and Critical Environment Work Authorization (CEWA)
* Coordinates with facility partners, clients, contractors, and vendors for supports on critical work efforts
* Provide project status and performance.
Requirements
* Minimum of twelve (10) years experience in project engineering as applied to the Facilities Management of large capital projects.
* Previous management and supervisory experience are required. FM and Customers Service experience is highly desirable.
* 10 years Facilities Management experience
* 5 years FM Manager experience
* Ability to make the hard call in relation to matters of safety even if this might be operationally or commercially unpalatable.
* Ability to lead and manage others to achieve goals and outcomes.
* Ability to challenge conventional thinking and find ways to improve on the status quo.
* Ability to demonstrate and encourage adherence to the organization's values and ethical standards.
* Service the mechanical and electrical systems related to Metro, Tram, and rolling stock.
* Electronic/ Mechanical / HVAC Production Technologies knowledge
* An excellent understanding of planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance.
* Developing Budgets, Management Proficiency
