Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The primary job responsibilities are to record bank transactions, maintain cashbooks and perform daily bank and cash audit reconciliations.

Key responsibilities:
• Directly responsible for closing of monthly / quarterly / yearly financial records.
• Preparing and posting monthly journal entries for all the relevant transactions and ensuring required controls are in place in ERP
• Verify monthly, quarterly and yearly trial balance for the related period closing
• Quarterly balance sheet and P & L Fluctuation Analysis & Balance Account Reconciliation, Chapter 1 & 4 reconciliation with MOF records.
• Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
• Preparing monthly actuals for MIS report (for all chapters & invoice commitments)
• Provide accounting support to major financial accounting areas, including the accounts payable, Budget.
• Assist in completing the yearly financial statements
• Prepare Bank Reconciliation on monthly basis
• Monitor cash deposits (Govt. Grant etc.) at the bank and record the same in AR
• Assist the external audit process, liaising with external auditors.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in accounting
• Proficient / Strong Excel skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Prior working experience in large scale projects
• Knowledge of accounting practices in the GCC
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
• Maintaining confidential and sensitive information
• Flexibility and a related ability to work autonomously
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
• A team player willing to work on tight timelines and pitch in when needed
• Oracle R12 financial application experience preferred
• A positive attitude, patience, and persistence, especially when dealing with various internal and external stakeholders
• Team player and have ability to work independently
