Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

A leading and award-winning commercial bank is seeking a Head of IT to lead key IT functions and shape the bank's overall strategic direction. As Head of IT, you will encompass expertise within IT infrastructure, enterprise architecture, applications, helpdesk and support and IT planning to reinforce efficiency and profitability for the bank.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

* Plan and oversee the implementation of IT strategy, policies and procedures to support organizational business strategy
* Act as advisor to the COO and Board through understanding of all IT frameworks; ensuring these align with functional business plans
* Oversee the design of IT governance framework alongside the COO
* Review all activities related to software development, maintenance, system implementation
* Monitor the overall IT budget and delivery of IT services and systems
* Oversee the implementation of a bank-wide disaster recovery plan
* Develop an appropriate response strategy, alongside Compliance to new rules and regulations effecting IT processes
* Plan and implement an IT infrastructure plan for database management, systems, network, security, communications and channel delivery
* Finalize all SLAs with internal departments and international branches to increase IT efficiency
* Plan and implement a competitive IT organization structure to ensure the bank's competitive position

Requirements

As Head of IT, you will have the following skill set:

* Strong leadership skills and a minimum of 5 years within a leadership role
* Minimum of 15 years experience in related role, preferably within the Banking sector
* University degree in Computer Science or related discipline
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
* Strategic thinking
* Ability to delegate effectively
* Expert capability in programming, system design, testing and integration
