Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The role is to provide marine experience to ensure the safe and efficient shipment via the berth, including marine terminal operation while ensuring compliance with marine aspects of operation with the Berth and Port Users Agreements and the Sale and purchase agreements.

- Attends vessels loading and liaising with cargo surveyors attending vessels to ensure position of the company as Terminal Operator is protected.
- Resolves any disputes or problems and takes corrective actions in a timely manner.
- Monitor and advises with regards to ullaging and sampling prior, during and on completion of loading. Ensures the shipping and cargo documents are complied in accordance with sale and purchase agreements.
- Ensures vessels are properly moored to the terminal berth and that the mooring is of the correct type and configuration.
- Conducts a thorough check of the ship to ensure its equipment conforms to industry standards and OCIMF ship/shore checklists.
- Attends the pre loading ship/shore meeting between ship, port and the company.
- Liaises with the port and the company terminal with regards to safe trading operations throughout the vessels stay in the berth.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications - Master Marine Certificate of Competency.

6 Years experience in including at least 5 years as a captain or chief officer sea for a marine company, in tankers, chemical carriers, including onshore marine experience within chemical marine terminals.
