Head of Planning, Projects Management & System Support - Qatar Aviation Services - Doha

As Head of Planning, Projects Management and System Support you will be directly reporting to the Senior Vice President to provide leadership and management for the provisions of resource management planning for all QAS landside and airside operations.

The successful candidate will develop the strategic QAS PMO plan with objectives and priorities whilst managing a planning department that can effectively forecast to provide scenarios, identify risks and opportunities for the operation.

You will lead, direct and govern portfolio, programmes and projects positioning QAS as an innovative, best practice ground handling agent.

Your key accountabilities will include the following;
• To business partner with units to identify gaps between organisations in order to initiate process development, change management and deliver key strategic projects that will benefit our business, our people and our stakeholders
• Plan and adapt the future operational resource allocation and implementation based on the analysis of seasonal, event and macro environmental trends
• Develop QAS system support capability to implement QAS future systems and applications for Passenger and Cargo Operations
• Responsible for portfolio, programme and project management across multiple work streams by using a disciplined, process-oriented and strategic methodology
• Facilitate process development workshops based on business needs and map the process with the reduction and revenue enhancement when applicable
• To implement standard project management process, planning and execution, providing governance and closure to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope

Requirements

To be considered for this role you must hold a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

You must have a minimum of 8 years executive management job-related experience working within Ground Handling, Operations Centre or Resource Planning Management.

The preferred candidate will have experience working as a General Manager, Station Manager or a Resource Planning Manager for a ground handling company with exposure to live allocations, operational engagement standards, forecasting and planning.

You will be a proven leader with the ability to mentor and motivate a multi-cultural workforce and have an excellent command of written and spoken English.
