Regional takaful Insurance business seeks a Head of Reinsurance with a background in claims, underwriting, & reinsurance in Doha, Qatar

Description
- Perform internal and external daily correspondence, answering the queries under the supervision of the next level of management.
- Monitor the development of portfolios during the year through obtaining different reports from IT system.
- Collect all renewal information and make sure of its correctness and prepare the required renewal information including "as if" statistics, risk profiles, statistical results, top risks, underwriting philosophy and major losses and proposing enhancements to the treaties.
- Review the placing slips, cover notes and wordings and raise points to the next level of management.
- Prepare the relevant bordereaux as required, in addition to the calculation of the profit commission, and XOL (excess of loss) adjustment premiums annually.
- Handle and follow up all claims exposing the XOL protection and provide all information until the claim is closed

Job Offer
circa 20 - 23,000 QAR per month + bonus

Requirements

Ideally 7 to 10 years in general insurance

University graduate - essential

Certification in insurance (ACII or equivalent)

Broad span of knowledge in all lines of Insurance and Reinsurance

Understanding of business practices, data management and reporting

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Experienced in negotiation, facilitation, problem solving and decision making at a senior level

Knowledge and experience of the market, trends and opportunities

Proficient computer skills
