Indirect Tax- Senior Manager

Big 4 company with a strong regional presence. You will be working in a new VAT team which assists both local and multinational top tier clients in VAT implementation which is planned to start in the region on 1st January 2018.

Locations: Qatar, Bahrain & Oman

Key responsibilities include:
- Advising clients on their indirect tax matters
- Implement a business plan to support all clients’ needs from pre-legislation to implementation
- Help resolving VAT related disputes and identify risks
- Understanding and application of Customs Laws in the GCC countries
- Closely involved in VAT implementation projects
- Develop & lead VAT training programs internally & externally
- Collaboration with global teams in order to advice on VAT within global jurisdictions
- Participate in case work and draft required reports
- Identifying and documenting all tax compliance related issues
- Participate in business development & identifying opportunities
- Build strong internal relationships and help developing the team

Requirements

- Western experience is an advantage
- Professional accounting/law/tax qualification
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience
- Big 4 experience is essential at Senior Manager level
- VAT advisory is essential
- VAT implementation desired
