Job purpose
Represent the company on board installation vessels to ensure safe and quality-compliant execution of works.
Provide oversight on contractoru2019s day-to-day activities in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Reporting and relationships
Reports to: Lead T&I Pipeline / Cable

Frequent contact with onshore-based T&I team
Offshore HSE advisors
QELNG operations in the field
External contacts:
Frequent contact with offshore contractor personnel
Periodic contact with other operators in the field to manage SIMOPS

- Safety, health & environment: Ensure all activities are undertaken in compliance with company safety, health and environment and quality policies, regulations, and standards.
- Qatarization program: Contribute to the development of Qatari employees (mandatory for expatriate employees).
- Firewall compliance: Ensure all activities comply with anti-trust and competition laws, as well as the company firewall policies and procedures.
Key job accountabilities
- Act as company site representative onboard the vessel during the execution phase; communicate activity status and progress to the vessel lead.
- Serve as the day-to-day interface with EPC contractor and craft labor.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with specifications, procedures, and plans.
- Work effectively within established procedures or develop new procedures to support project management needs.
- Interface with various project teams and departments to resolve issues, requiring effective communication and collaboration.
- Exhibit leadership, integrity, self-confidence, and fairness.
- Take initiative, drawing on experience to deliver timely and cost-effective service.
- Manage the resolution of complex problems and issues using precedent and acquired knowledge.
Qualifications
Diploma in engineering
Knowledge and/or experience
- Minimum 8 years of offshore installation experience on vessels in Transport & Installation activities
- At least 5 years as a field engineer or site supervisor onboard installation vessels
- Previous experience with QELNG and familiarity with QELNG PTW systems is desirable
- Knowledge of offshore facility installation and subsea structure execution by installation vessel
- Demonstrated extensive experience supervising MSV operations
- Basic training or knowledge in lifting, rigging, and safety standards
Technical and business skills
- Fluent in English
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook email system
