Instrument And Contros (I&C) Head

Job description / Role

We are looking for an Instrument & Controls (I&C) Head – EPC-4 for our client in Qatar.

• You will be responsible for overseeing EPC 4 Field I&C Engineering activities in support of NFE Onshore LNG Projects construction, ensuring all technical requirements such as project specifications, data sheets, etc. are in full compliance with project requirements and standardised processes, and are delivered to the highest technical quality standards.
• You will provide clear guidance to the EPC contractor and facilitate resolution of technical issues to complete I&C field engineering activities, to meet project objectives and milestones.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation and Controls Engineering or equivalent is preferred.
• Extensive experience working in the field of Instrumentations Control and Safety Systems, in a Major LNG Project, with broad knowledge of engineering execution including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, onshore facilities design, construction and operations.
• Relevant experience should be in a major project construction / commissioning / start up, with demonstrate contributions to installation, commissioning and first time start-up of instrument and controls systems.
• Previous knowledge of Smart Technologies such as Foundation Field Bus.
• Demonstrated broad Instruments & Controls equipment and systems experience (Emerson DCS & SE Triconex SIS, Virtualization, Emerson Instrument Asset Management System (IAMS), PAS Alarm Management System (AMS), PI Real Time Information management System (RTIS) and familiarity with relevant manufacturing processes and relevant industry codes.
• Both brownfield and green field experience is an advantage.
• Good understanding of International (ISA/IEC) Standards and best practices in the areas of Instrumentation installations and testing.
• Field commissioning and Start-up experience desirable.
• Proficient in English language.
• Strong organisational, planning and coordination skills.
• Strong technical, prioritisation and management skills.
• Proficient in MS Microsoft Office.
• Good communication, influencing and interface skills.
