Interior Design Engineer.
• The purpose of this job is to make indoor spaces functional, safe, and beautiful by determining space requirements and selecting essential and decorative items, such as colours, lighting, and materials.
• You must be able to draw, read, and edit blueprints.
• Design plans should be cognizant of safety and functionality requirements and maintain a strict adherence to building codes and regulatory standards.
• Search for and bid on new projects.
• Determine the client’s goals and requirements for the project.
• Outline client design objectives.
• Determine cost of completion and project requirements in the budgeting phase.
• Set a timeline for the completion of an interior design project.
• Specify materials and furnishings, such as lighting, furniture, wall finishes, flooring, plumbing fixtures and in carpets Creative, artistic, adaptable, flexible and has a critical eye for details.
• Able to develop design to meet client's expectation and approval.
• Source materials and products included in plans.
• Utilize computer applications in the design process.
• Inspect design after completion to determine whether client goals have been met.
• Coordinate with other departments for design solutions & resolution of issues related to design
• Able to read and understand the construction plans and sketches
Requirements
Experience/Experience/Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field is required
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
