Job description / Role
• Global Design and Architectural Firm
• Location: Doha, Qatar
Our client, a global architectural and interior design international consultancy firm, has recently been awarded a Five Star Hotel project in Doha, Qatar and now seek to appoint an Interior Designer to lead the interior design scope of works on behalf of the client. This role is site based and the project is a Five Star Hotel (200 keys plus facilities). The concept design is completed and presented and the client now requires some amendments to the concept design. The public spaces are approved and the guestrooms are currently under review with the client.
Reporting to the Director of Interior Design, this role is responsible for the following:
• Manage and communicate project interior design objectives and requirements as the client’s representative.
• Management of the interior design documents for the construction phase associated with interior finishes, details, FF&E and signage to ensure that the documentation is applicable, complete and accurate.
• Assist with translation of the concept design into Detailed Design as the client’s representative.
• Liaison with the consultants in relation to the project.
• Presentation of interior design concepts to the client.
• Work with the Global Head Office studio, Client and Contractor to finalize detailed design.
• Provide input into the construction of the prototype rooms.
• Interface with consultants with the detailed design and construction documentation.
Requirements
• Degree in Interior Design or Architecture is essential with a minimum of 5 years’ interior design experience (prefer 10 years) with site experience being highly regarded.
• Experience on large scale interior design projects with exposure to hotel / hospitality projects being highly regarded.
• High energy candidates with passion for their work are required who are also self-motivated, self-directed and able to work autonomously.
• Computer proficiency is required for AutoCAD, Photoshop and 3D programs such as Sketch would be preferred (but is not essential).
