Interior Designer

Job description / Role

We are seeking an artistic, detail-oriented Interior Designer with strong project experience across commercial, retail, and hospitality interiors to join our growing design team.

Creative Design & Concept Development
• Lead the creative development of interior design concepts from initial brief to client-ready proposals.
• Translate sales-led briefs and/or direct client requirements into clear design narratives and spatial concepts.
• Develop mood boards, material palettes, color stories, and visual themes that communicate design intent and atmosphere.
• Think creatively about space planning, flow, color psychology, materiality, lighting, texture, and movement.
• Produce concept presentations and design proposals that tell a compelling story and support client decision-making.
• Ensure all creative outputs align with brand identity, project objectives, timelines, and indicative budgets.

Design Development & Technical Support
• Support the preparation of shop drawings and design development packages based on approved creative concepts.
• Review architectural and interior drawings to ensure consistency with the approved creative direction.
• Prepare sketches, layouts, and design revisions as required throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with production, procurement, and project teams to ensure creative intent is maintained during execution.

Project & Site Involvement
• Conduct site visits to understand spatial conditions, verify measurements, and inform accurate design development.
• Participate in coordination meetings with consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure creative solutions are practical, buildable, and aligned with project timelines.

Client Interaction & Presentation
• Present creative concepts, mood boards, and proposals confidently to clients and internal teams.
• Engage directly with clients to gather feedback and refine designs while preserving the core design vision.
• Support sales and leadership teams during client pitches and design presentations.

This role is suited to a designer who is conceptually strong, technically competent, and confident in client interaction, with the ability to translate creative ideas into buildable, well-documented design solutions. Preference will be given to candidates with international exposure having lived, studied, or worked abroad who bring a refined design sensibility shaped by multicultural experience.

Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.

Experience
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a creative interior design role.
• Demonstrated strength in concept development, mood boards, and design storytelling.
• Experience producing design proposals and presentation materials for client approvals.
• Project exposure across commercial, retail, and hospitality interiors.
• Strong creative thinking is supported by sound technical understanding.
• Proficiency in:
o AutoCAD
o SketchUp
o Photoshop (or equivalent)
o 3D visualization / rendering tools
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Arabic speaking is a strong plus.

Preferred
• International exposure: lived, studied, or worked abroad (Europe, UK, US, Canada preferred).
• Experience in design-led studios or interior fit-out environments.
• Exposure to GCC or international project delivery environments.
• Client-handling or sales-support experience.

Technical Skills
• Strong skills in concept development, mood boards, and visual storytelling.
• Ability to translate creative ideas into concept layouts, 3D visuals, and presentations.
• Good understanding of materials, finishes, and spatial composition.
• Working knowledge of interior detailing and construction coordination.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop (or equivalent), and 3D rendering tools.
• Able to manage multiple design concepts and projects efficiently.

Salary:
QAR 7,000 to 15,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
