Job description / Role
- Designer may be asked to create or renovate spaces within: homes /offices and industrial & commercial units/shops /hotels and restaurants/public buildings/vehicles such as ships and aircraft.
- Designers may be commissioned to transform existing interiors, or to produce designs for a building that has yet to be finished.
- The role includes working to a brief, inspecting and surveying projects negotiating fees and setting schedules for the project. - Projects can be broad in scope, ranging from concept, structural alterations to the choice of furnishings, curtains, wallpaper and lighting.
- Researching and drawing up rough plans. Developing detailed designs and choosing materials
- Supervising the work as it is carried out. Advising clients on progress, and providing them with samples of paints and fabrics to be used. Interior designers must work closely with other professionals.
- Expected to keep up to date with new trends and products.
- Producing rough sketches and a mood board. Developing detailed designs, often using computer-aided design (CAD) software or small-scale models.
- Choosing the most appropriate materials for the design and budget.
- They may place orders with manufacturers and suppliers, and supervise builders and decorators on site.
- Assist clients as they enter the Showroom.
- Meet or exceed Showroom's monthly sales target.
Requirements
- With minimum of 5 years experience in the field of Interior Design and Sales and/or 5 years minimum experience in international furniture brand.
- Good knowledge of Qatar market, Contractors, Suppliers.
- Good 3D max awareness.
- The ability to visualize concepts and explain them to others good drawing
- An interest in changing trends in design.
- Willing to work or relocate to Qatar
