Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Responsible for planning, executing and reporting on operational, financial, and regulatory and compliance related audits/reviews of Al Jassim Group.
A secondary role is to plan, execute and report /advice on internal control/compliance processes to Al Jassim Group management, including risk management techniques.

• Plans financial, regulatory, compliance or operational reviews/audits.
• Coordinate work with Risk, Legal & Compliance and other control-related activities and with others within the group.
• Conducts frequent audits on various departments and identifies and plugs compliance gaps / thefts etc.
• Conducts risk assessments and identifies controls in place to mitigate identified risks.
• Performs audit procedures to verify that controls are operating through testing and interviewing techniques
• Analyses and concludes on effectiveness and efficiency of control environment.
• Identifies control gaps and opportunities for improvement.
• Documents the results of audit work in accordance with audit department and international benchmarked standards.
• Prepares timely audit reports for management, and the Board of Directors.
• Assess, evaluate and promote compliance to internal Al Jassim Group policies.
• Contributes, as appropriate, in the year-end financial audit with the external auditor.
• Provides advice on internal control and participates in enhancing internal audit standards and practices within Al Jassim Group.
• Researches new or technical subjects when required to support audit guidelines
• Keep a keen eye and control on operational expenses especially food costs without compromising on aggressive growth.
• Explore new business initiatives in terms of acquiring new Division rights and make strategic business plans to start such new acquisition operations.
• Develop, mentor, train and motivate quality team of professionals to ensure implementation of his division’s mission and goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree; between 10 to 15 years of experience. Certification/Licensure Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification must be active and good standing or must be Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
• Nationality – Any (if inside Qatar – NOC is a must) if outside Qatar – No Visa for: Lebanese, Syrian, Egyptian, Jordanian not unless dual citizen.
• Age: below 45 yrs old
