Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Internal Auditor to independently evaluate the company’s internal controls, risk management practices, operational processes, and compliance with policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior management to identify financial, operational, and procedural weaknesses and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and ensure transparency.

This is a high-impact role that supports corporate governance, operational excellence, and financial integrity across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
Risk Assessment & Audit Planning
• Develop and execute a risk-based internal audit plan covering financial, operational, and compliance areas.
• Identify key risks across departments (Finance, Procurement, Operations, HR, Sales, Logistics, etc.) and prioritize audit activities accordingly.
• Evaluate internal control frameworks and recommend enhancements.

Internal Audit Execution
• Conduct audits of financial transactions, business processes, inventory cycles, procurement practices, and compliance with company policies.
• Test internal controls to ensure adequate safeguards are in place.
• Review operational processes for efficiency gaps, delays, and inconsistencies.
• Perform investigative audits in cases of suspected fraud, misconduct, or policy violations.

Reporting & Recommendations
• Prepare clear, concise audit reports highlighting observations, risks, root causes, and improvement recommendations.
• Present findings to senior management and track follow-up actions until closure.
• Support the enhancement of policies, procedures, and workflows across departments.

Compliance & Governance
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Assess adherence to tendering procedures, procurement controls, and financial documentation standards.
• Review ERP system data integrity and recommend process improvements during or after ERP implementation.

Cross-Department Coordination
• Collaborate with Finance, HR, Procurement, Operations, and Management to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Provide guidance on internal control best practices and risk mitigation.
• Support external auditors by providing required documentation and audit evidence.

Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related field.
• Professional certifications preferred: CIA, CPA, ACCA, CISA, or CMA.

Experience
• 5–8+ years of internal audit or compliance experience (experience in construction, manufacturing, or industrial companies is an advantage).
• Strong understanding of audit methodologies, internal controls, and financial processes.
• Experience with ERP systems, data analysis, and automated controls.
