Job description / Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Internal Auditor to join our dynamic team in the Real Estate industry in Qatar. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in evaluating our company’s internal controls, risk management processes, and governance practices. This position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the enhancement of operational efficiency, compliance, and overall financial integrity. The Internal Auditor will collaborate closely with various departments to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and company policies, providing valuable insights and recommendations for improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive audits of financial, operational, and compliance processes to ensure effectiveness and adherence to policies and regulations.
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and risk management strategies across various departments.
- Prepare detailed audit reports that outline findings, recommendations, and action plans for management review.
- Collaborate with management to develop audit plans and establish priorities based on risk assessments.
- Monitor and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual risk assessment and audit plan.
- Provide support during external audits and liaise with external auditors as needed.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve audit processes.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate staff on internal controls and compliance requirements.
- Actively participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A Master's degree or professional certification (CIA, CPA, CISA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in internal auditing, external auditing, or a similar role within the real estate or financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of auditing standards, internal controls, and risk management principles.
- Proficient in using auditing software and tools; experience with data analytics is a plus.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing solutions.
- Knowledge of local regulations and compliance standards related to the real estate industry in Qatar is a distinct advantage.
