Job description / Role

Job Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Internal Auditor to join our Equipment Rental and Leasing organization in Qatar. This is a strategic role with independent reporting lines directly to the CEO at our UAE Office, ensuring objectivity and transparency in audit functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive internal audits across all business functions including:
1. Operational audits - evaluating efficiency and effectiveness of rental and leasing operations
2. Technical audits - assessing equipment management, maintenance processes, fleet management systems, and technical procedures
3. Management process audits - reviewing decision-making processes, organizational structure, and management controls
4. Financial audits - reviewing financial records, rental/leasing agreements, and accounting practices
5. Perform risk assessments and evaluate internal control systems across all departments
6. Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings directly to the CEO
7. Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and international standards
8. Identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions
9. Maintain confidentiality and independence in all audit activities

Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
2. Professional certification (CIA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred. And must have 3-4 years of audit experience in Qatar with audit firms or corporate management teams, skilled in conducting operational, technical, and management audits beyond financial audits.
3. Experience in the equipment rental/leasing industry is highly desirable. Must possess thorough knowledge of Qatar’s regulatory environment including business regulations, labor laws, corporate governance, tax regulations, and government compliance standards.
4. A valid Qatar driving license is mandatory. Strong knowledge of international auditing standards, excellent analytical and communication skills, and proficiency in English are essential (Arabic is an advantage).

The successful candidate must demonstrate high integrity and professional ethics, with the ability to work independently without branch-level supervision. Must be self-motivated with a strong understanding of Qatar’s business environment and versatile in evaluating diverse business processes beyond financial matters.
