Role Summary:
• The incumbent will be responsible for managing a portfolio of projects, primarily focussed on transformation activities across branches, representative offices, affiliates and subsidiaries within the QNB Group, to increase the level of integration and effectiveness across the existing network.

• This role supports the Group’s overall organic international expansion strategy and the on-going objective of delivering group-wide synergies to enhance revenue opportunities, improve operating efficiencies and ensure robust controls. The job is active project and/or portfolio management, to ensure business benefit is delivered on time and within budget. The role will include project monitoring and full coordination with both internal and external stakeholders.

Role Description:
• Contribute to the achievement of international organic expansion and increased capabilities in line with overall Group Strategy.
• Develop business cases, feasibility studies and budgets for international development projects to existing entities.
• Ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets and generate expected business benefits.
• Establish a Portfolio Management capability for the Projects for which the position is accountable.
• Analyze the requirements for any new country specific based on the Business Plan and BRS, and prepare consolidated Project Schedules to ensure that project budgets and deadlines are met.
• Decide, document, coordinate, and communicate all planning and resource requirements for each project, and for the project portfolio overall.
• Be accountable for each phase of the project life cycle to be performed within each of the Portfolio projects and their individual planned time scales and resource availability
• Coordinate the activities/tasks of all the projects and sub-projects with the consolidated Project Schedule for each Country, and across the Portfolio.
• Monitor and report progress on all of the portfolio of projects to the Direct Supervisor.
• Identify Risks and Issues and initiate actions to mitigate the risks and resolve issues
• Recommend and enforce control standards.
• Liaise and negotiate with cross functional partners and external consultants, regulators etc to optimize delivery of new venture projects.
• Perform duties for the processing/ completing of licensing and registration formalities for the new ventures in close liaison with the responsible authorities in the respective markets.
• Liaise with International Business Support for coordination purposes and to determine the degree of support available to the prospect business venture in terms of Head Office business processing capabilities and international contacts.

Requirements

• University graduate, MBA (preferred).
• 7+ years experience with preferably 3years at least as a Project Manager handling more than one project. The discipline/industry of the incumbent, is not as important as the experience of working as a Project Manager. Candidate must have experience in Banking and Consulting.
• PMP preferred if not a deep background in Banking Projects via either in house or consultancies.
• Clear understanding of the process of international banking operations and the roles and boundaries of the concerned divisions
• Highly analytical
