Job description / Role

We are seeking to recruit on behalf of our client a INVESTOR RELATIONS OFFICER who will be working in their PRIVATIZED COMPANY AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT based in Qatar on a long term residential and will be responsible for ensuring that Privatized Companies are able to fully discharge their external communications, disclosure obligations to shareholders, investors and government/regulatory authorities, and maintain an adequate public presence within the investing community, arrange physical and virtual meetings with current and potential investors.

Requirements

- At least 5 year experience in investor/relations activities, management reporting, business, journalism, corporate strategy or investment consulting, corporate finance, investment banking, equity research analysis etc
- Strong Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skill Strong analytical, and problem-solving and skills, and being technically minded
- Comfortable in understanding financial / performance terminologies
- Detail-oriented, structured thinker with strong project management skills
- Capacity to discretely handle highly confidential and sensitive information
- Knowledge of financial concepts and statistical / analytical methods and ability to use data effectively for reporting, and financial modelling purposes is a must
- Advanced knowledge of applicable rules and regulations of Qatar Exchange, Qatar Financial Markets Authority and Qatar Commercial law
- Proficient command of English both verbal and written
- Demonstrable ability to transform financial performance details into investor-friendly messages
- Arabic language would be an advantage
- Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics, preferably with an internationally recognised professional qualification
