IT Administrator

Job description / Role

Summary:
Directs, manages, supervises and coordinates the activities and operations of the IT Division within the Administrative Services including hardware, software, network, telephone, and computer system administration; identifies, recommends, develops, implements, and supports cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization

Functional Responsibilities
• Prepares bid specifications and analyzes bid proposals for computer and network equipment and software
• coordinates assigned activities with other divisions, departments
• Plan, direct, coordinate, and review the work plan for information technology staff; assign work activities, projects, and programs; review and evaluate work products, methods, and procedures; meet with staff to identify and resolve problems
• Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
• Manage and participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for assigned programs; recommend and administer policies and procedures
• Monitor and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures; recommend, within departmental policy, appropriate service and staffing levels
• Preserve assets, information security and control structures
• Manage local ISP provider relationship with the account managers for new and change services.
• Oversee and participate in the development and administration of the Division’s annual budget; participate in the forecast of funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies; monitor and approve expenditures; implement adjustments
• Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies
• Manage and provide the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all information technology systems, including servers, PC’s, operating systems, hardware, software, Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements
• Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action.
• Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
• Providing POS technological services (NCR Aloha, Par Pixelpoint, Micros) to the businesses we operate that includes, Burger King, Applebee’s Café, Vergnano, Quzinos, Trading division, Real Estate and other department subject to addition of new brands, concepts, divisions and companies
• Communicate effectively with branches by notifying the branches of billable status before affecting the repair, maintaining communication with the customer until the incident is satisfactorily addressed, and contacting the customer within one hour of receipt of the service call.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements

• Min. 9 years of experience in the same field preferably in Food & Beverage Industry and with GCC experience is a must.
• Exp. In Network Administrator & Exposure in System Administrator is a must.
• Exp. In handling IT set-up in a mid-size organization is an advantage.
• With Qatar Driving License
