IT Auditor

Job description / Role

Linum Consult’s client is a major organization in Qatar. They are seeking an IT Auditor to join their team in Qatar.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Planning and executing IT audit assignments, including risk assessments, audit procedures, and reports
• Assisting in the development of a detailed understanding of the activities under audit, including IT risks and controls
• Identifying and assessing IT audit risks and developing strategies to mitigate them
• Evaluating IT systems, applications, and infrastructure to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
• Evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of IT controls, including IT infrastructure, applications, and data security
• Identifying and reporting on IT audit findings, including recommendations for improvement
• Evaluating IT governance processes, including IT strategy, policies, and procedures, and ensuring alignment with company objectives
• Assisting in the development and presentation of IT audit reports, including executive summaries, detailed findings, and recommendations for improvement

PROFILE

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar field
• 5 years’ experience in IT auditing, IT risk management, or similar field within a large international or multicultural organization, ideally in the transportation/infrastructure sector
• Holding certifications in one or more of the following: Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Ideally have a background of working in the Middle East
• Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English
