Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time


The position of IT Manager will report to the Cluster Director of IT. It is a technical appointment and is a key operational management role with the opportunity to make a direct impact on the profitability of the hotel.


To provide excellent IT support services for resort under the guidance of Accor Cooperate IT and within the limits of established Accor, Raffles & Fairmont policies and procedures.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:


- Responsible for the pre-opening and on-going IT budgets.
- Ensure that systems are in place to secure data and ensure business continuity.
- Monitor IT processes to ensure compliance with stated standards and identified best practices.
- Ensure all tasks in the IT division's POP (Pre-Opening Plan) are completed to ensure a successful opening according to Raffles & Fairmont Brand Standards
- Communicate status, risks and opportunities to Hotel/ General Manager and Cooperative Director of IT to ensure issues are promptly dealt with accordingly.
- Responsible for the Capacity planning of IT to maximise efficiency
- Ensure the hotel adopts and maintains brand standards for guests and business services in relation to IT services and offerings.
- Consistently promote the brand in the local site and encourage the use of the brand by IT suppliers.
- Provide consultancy services to the management team to better expedite access and use of information in the property.
- Ensure a business continuity plan is established and tested for all parts of the business supported with IT.
- Demonstrate commitment to the development and implementation of the QMS system and continual improvement of its effectiveness
- Ensure the availability of resources to enhance customer service
- Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management


- Ensure confidentiality and secure storage of all intellectual property and data bases, both hard copy and electronic. Adhere to Accor Internet and Email policy
- Ensure Hotel, Customer and Staff information or transactions are kept confidential during or after employment with the company.

To be fully conversant with:

- Hotel fire procedures
- Hotel security procedures
- Hotel Health and Safety policy and procedures
- Hotel Facilities and attractions
- Hotel standards of operation and departmental procedures
- Accor Grooming of Luxury and Appearance guidelines
- Accor values and its corresponding strategies
- Methods of accepted payment of the company
- Short and long term company marketing promotions
- Carries out additional tasks from time to time, by request of senior team members which may not be directly related to the job role but necessary for smooth operation of the resort



- Basic networking and systems administration certification such as MCSE


- Bachelor degree with a major in business, hotel management or Information systems
- Project management certification

Physical Aspects of Position:

Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to the following:

- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to minimum 30 lbs.
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
