Junior System Administrator

Job description / Role

• Serve as technical support for Citrix issues; supporting both application using Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop and operational teams through systems analysis, diagnosis, troubleshooting, performance analysis and resolution.
• Support Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop Infrastructure Servers, with load management/balancing, automation and monitoring, problem resolution, improvements, and capacity planning
• Possess technical knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and NT Infrastructure, FTP, network topologies, Windows Clustering, Web Services, Citrix, Terminal Services Printing, RAS (Remote Access Services), VMware Server Virtualization.
• Collaborate with technical teams to provide oversight, guidance, and technical assistance for both internal and external Citrix environments and the organization’s applications hosted within the Citrix infrastructure.
• Perform routine hardware and software testing, configuration and installation.
• Identity user training needs develop and deliver desktop- related training.
• Perform routine maintenance related to all hardware and software in the school.
• Resolve PC, server, network and software problems & create and maintain desktop images.
• Provide basic user support to the I.P. telephone system.
• Perform routine network and PC installations, troubleshoot, maintain and resolve any related problems
• Provide support for devices such as printers, projectors, interactive whiteboards and access control devices.
Required Skills
• Administration knowledge of Windows Server 2008 R2 and desktop operating systems.
• Hands on experience in Active Director, IIS Web services and related web environment
• Knowledge of mobile devices, such as iPads, iPhones, Android and Blackberry.
• Cable installation, CCTV cameras installation, DVR configuration, access and support Commercial IP CCTV security system installation, setup, and repair.
• Responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting stationary and remotely controlled motion IP CCTV camera installation and Cat- 6 structured cable system installation, termination, and testing.
• Responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting Multiple DVR,NVR and associated hardware Configure and install analog and digital CCTV systems. Also maintain and upgrade existing analog and digital CCTV systems as needed.
• Assist & Support with the configuration, deployment of network assets, including POS systems, sound, SFTV, Wi-Fi access point, Printer MFC, Tablet, Google Classroom, as iPads, iPhones, Android and Blackberry etc..

QUALIFICATIONS
• College Certificate or Computer, IT or equivalent is required,
• CCNE or MCSE would be preferred.
• Minimum five years’ experience in similar role is required.
• Experience of working in an educational environment (e.g. school, college or university) would be preferred.
