Sri Lanka Recruitment Event - Kitchen Steward (Hub Lounges) - Qatar Airways - Doha

The Kitchen Steward is responsible for ensuring that the kitchen in the Hub Lounges in Hamad International Airport is clean, well-maintained and organised at all times. It is important to maintain a proper of clean inventory with a high standard of cleanliness around all food and beverage areas.

Your specific tasks will include:
- Compliance with food safety and hygiene practices as per policies and procedures by the company.
- Cleaning and washing cutlery, utensils and other items required in food preparation.
- Ensuring that working area is clear of trash and waste.
- Ensuring that working area is clean and sanitised at all times.
- Ensuring the removal of broken, chipped cutlery or other kitchen items used in food preparation.
- Ensuring that cleaning liquids and other materials such as gloves are well stocked and available.
- Ensuring that workspace and all kitchen areas are cleaned as frequently as possible, paying specific attention to behind the counters and difficult to reach spaces.
- Assisting in the set-up of buffets or as required by the immediate supervisor.
- You will communicate and work together with other team members assigned in different areas such as the kitchen, stores and operations with the objective of seamless integration of duties and functions. You will ensure that hygienic food and beverage management procedures are followed and that cleanliness are maintained at all times in all areas of the operations.

Requirements


You have High School Diploma with minimum of 2 years of job related experience.

You demonstrate at all times the importance of upholding the highest personal and professional standard and have positive and passionate attitude towards the customers. You are a team player with a positive outlook and a keen eye for details. You have well-developed social skills, able to handle all type of people and situation and have high level of versatility and flexibility to meet the varied needs and expectations of customers.
