Job description / Role
Laboratory Technician is responsible for implementing the quality assurance (QA) program analyzing input and output for farm and reporting results to laboratory manager to ensure maximum production quantity, quality and safety.
Should perform the below
• Antibiotic testing
• Water testing
• Utilizing state-of-the-art laboratory equipment, including Vitek , ELISA, PCR, and more
• Analyzing milk for more than a dozen components and characteristics including butterfat, protein, lactose, solids-non-fat, somatic cell count, MUN, Johne's, leukosis, BVD, and more
• Responsible for undertaking routine laboratory work and performing analysis to operating standards.
• Liaising with internal team members and dealing with their requests and queries.
• To fully understand the importance of safe working practice and procedures related to all areas of their work and be fully aware of all of the required safety requirement needed to perform his/her task and how equipment should be used.
Requirements
• Should have previous experience in agriculture/ manufacturing industry
• Should have Knowledge of laboratory terminology and equipment.
• Should have Knowledge of Food Safety Management Systems
• Should have education qualification related to microbiology/ lab related stream
