Landscape Engineer - Doha, Qatar
A unique opportunity to work on one of the biggest highway programs in the region in a diversified team of Engineers! We are looking for a Landscape Engineer to join one of our Highways projects in Qatar. The successful candidate will work as an integrated member of the Construction Supervision team.
Enabling greater mobility in Qatar with shortened travel times and improved public safety, the Highways projects are being supervised by our expert design and construction supervision team. We are looking for a professional who will ensure client satisfaction and help strengthen our project delivery capabilities.
Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
• Interpreting design drawings to understand landscape architecture intentions and establishing general landscape requirements with client;
• Reviewing shop drawings, material submittals, method statements and providing constructive advise to ensure the contractor upholds high standards;
• Establishing quality control procedures and undertaking inspections and audits of workmanship and materials to ensure compliance with the approved documentation;
• Conducting preliminary studies of the site (including contours, soil, ecology, buildings, roads);
• Assessing a site\'s potential to meet the client\'s specifications;
• Carrying out environmental impact assessments for activities directly related to landscape architecture;
• Presenting proposals to the client, dealing with enquiries and negotiating any amendments to final design;
• Matching the client\'s wishes with your knowledge of what will work best;
• Contacting and coordinating manufacturers and suppliers;
• Making site visits, nursery visits;
• Liaising with other professionals on the project;
• Monitoring and checking work on-site.
Requirements
• Engineering Degree
• At least 10 years of work experience in major construction project
• Experience working in Civil construction works with prior experience in all of landscaping (soft scaping and hard scaping)
