Landscape Inspector - Doha, Qatar

A unique opportunity to work on one of the biggest highway programs in the region in a diversified team of Engineers! We are looking for a Landscape Inspector to join one of our Highways projects in Qatar. The successful candidate will work as an integrated member of the Construction Supervision team.

Enabling greater mobility in Qatar with shortened travel times and improved public safety, the Highways projects are being supervised by our expert design and construction supervision team. We are looking for a professional who will ensure client satisfaction and help strengthen our project delivery capabilities.

The Landscape Inspector will:
• Report to the Resident Engineer and will be assisted by the Landscape Engineer
• Detailed supervision and check of the Contractor’s work as directed by the Resident Engineer.
• Carry out daily inspections of the works and sign off the relevant part of the contractor’s RFI’s in a timely manner.
• Intimate knowledge of the relevant specifications for the part of the Contract being supervised.
• Keeping a detailed and neat diary of all major activities and all important observations on site and on other places where his presence in connection with the job is required.
• Raise any non conformances or poor workmanship with the RE in a timely manner
• Raise any safety issues with the Safety officer, keeping the RE informed.
• Making site visits, nursery visits;
• Liaising with other professionals on the project;
• Monitoring and checking work on-site.

Requirements

• Engineering Degree/ Diploma (or equivalent) as a minimum educational qualification.
• 7years of similar experience working in Civil construction works with prior experience in all of Landscaping (soft scaping and hard scaping)
• Typically required to have developed detailed technical knowledge of one or two major tasks that are a normal part of the specialty
• Good oral and written English language with good computer skills
