We are working with our client based in Qatar to source a lead buyer. This is a residential contract to be based in Qatar.

Qualification:

Bacheloru2019s degree in engineering, supply chain management, commercial discipline.

8 years' direct experience in purchasing/procurement within the oil and gas industry including no less than 3 years proven experience at the supervisory level.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

• Direct, monitor and facilitate procurement team and activities to ensure target goals are achieved through analysing reports, developing and implementing strategies.
• Direct reports 5-11 (total headcount 5-11 - assistants, buyers, senior buyers and specialists).
• Develop plans and objectives in line with the department and company objectives and assure achievement of these goals.
• Evaluate material demand plan, material spend, suppliers performance, market behaviour, and technological changes based on commodities, criticality, nature of requirement, and recommend the best strategies to satisfy the material procurement delivery while ensuring quality, cost and time targets.
