You will be responsible to effectively support and manage the category purchasing functions at QDFC ensuring that sufficient stocks are available at all times to satisfy the projected sales growth and achieve annual category budgeted net sales and margin. You are expected to analyse current consumer trends and predict future trends to ensure products are in line with the market offer. To ensure effective marketing, you will establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and retails/marketing department.

In this role, you will support other buying officers by training them on day to day job functions to execute category strategy. You will also support Category Lead to manage product detail for catalogues, sourcing and selection of imagery and content, PR copy briefing, desk and market research. In addition, you will follow up on shipment orders and receive invoice from suppliers.

You will report on current purchasing activity to management and monitor stock levels in INAX and you will review destination and daily inbound reports to analysis sales.

Requirements

You should hold a Bachelor Degree or equivalent with minimum 7 years of job-related experience. Master in Business / Purchasing qualification will be an advantage.

To be successful in this role you should have excellent communication skills and strong leadership skills to lead and direct the work of the team. You should have proven track record in the ability to manage stock on a day-to-day basis and proven track record of handling complex issues and negotiations.

You must have analytical skills and understanding of statistical process control with an advanced knowledge and experience in using Oracle and Navision inventory management. You should have the ability to organize and prioritize tasks on a regular basis.
