Job description / Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Lead Design Architect to take ownership of architectural design projects from concept design through to tender and project completion. The ideal candidate will lead the creative design process, manage internal design teams, coordinate with consultants and contractors, and act as a key liaison with clients and stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of each project.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the architectural design process from early concept stages through schematic design, design development, tender documentation, and construction.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, MEP, landscape, and sustainability consultants to ensure coordinated design output.
• Interpret client requirements and translate them into innovative, functional, and aesthetically compelling design solutions.
• Prepare and present design proposals to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
• Manage and mentor junior and mid-level architects and support staff.
• Oversee the production of high-quality design drawings, specifications, and presentation materials.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and managing expectations.
• Provide design leadership during site supervision and construction phases, reviewing shop drawings, material submittals, and resolving design-related issues.
• Maintain project schedules, budgets, and deliverables with a strong focus on quality and design integrity.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.
• 14+ years of professional experience, with at least 5-7 years in a leadership role in an engineering consultant companies.
• With Master's Degree, PMP (preferred), RIBA Certificate is a plus
• Proven experience delivering high-profile projects from concept through completion.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, technical detailing, and built work.
• Proficiency in design and visualization tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and BIM processes.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
• Familiarity with local codes, planning regulations, and tender processes.
