Lead Engineer

Job description / Role

- Provide the team with a vision of the project objectives.
- Lead by setting a good example.
- Facilitate problem solving and collaboration.
- Assure that the team members have the necessary education and training to effectively participate on the team.
- Familiarize the team with the project's needs, specifications, targets, the development process, design standards, techniques and tools to support task performance.
- Coordinates meetings with the Supreme Comittee, the PMC consultant and the contractor.
- Provide status reporting of team activities against the program plan or schedule.
- Direct responsibility to represent the Supervision Consultant for the specific project assigned to him and to manage the project within the parameters established for the Project.
- Maintain liaison with Client’s personnel assigned to the project as well as the Design Consultant representatives and local authorities.
- Be aware of the schedule requirements for the project and oversee the adherence to this schedule through the timely discharge of the team’s services.
- Overseeing the performance of the supervision team including direction and coordination, and contractor compliance with schedules, standards, and safety ¬programs.
- Overseeing the performance of supervision team in testing and inspections as well as testing, commissioning, final inspections, close-out, and handover.
- Oversee the implementation of the Quality and Safety Plans for the Project.

Requirements

- Relevant degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture from a recognized University.
- Minimum 15 years relevant experience.
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in the Gulf region.
- Well qualified and experienced to capably represent the SITE SUPERVISION CONSULTANT Team and to manage the project within the parameters established for the Project.
- Previous experience with stadium projects is highly regarded as an added advantage.
