Lead Health & Safety Officer - Qatar Aircraft Catering Company - Doha - Qatar

In this role, you will be responsible for implementation and maintaining safety standards, operating procedures and safety programs across QACC through the provision of advice, assistance and influence to all the staff. You will be require to conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments and audits of all QACC installations and operational areas as well as to response to accidents and safety incidents with QACC staff. Also, you would be asked to carry out risk assessments and ensure the application of controls are applied and maintained in practice.

You will be in charge of preparing daily report and being in constant contact with the production team as well as with Group security. In this position you would be require to ensure colleagues at all levels understand safety and health requirements and expectations through provision of QR Group induction, information, instruction, training and supervision. Delivering safety, health and environmental training for staff and contractors and assisting the training team in safety induction, will be part of your weekly routine. . Input QACC safety incidents onto Group safety management system (AQD). To maintain regular communication with Airport and Qatar Airways safety teams ensuring QACC is compliant with airport and Qatar Airways regulations and safety requirements.

Requirements

In order to be considered for this role, you would possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and would be NEBOSH certified. Also you would have participated on a Train the Trainer course and Risk Assessment training. A suitable candidate would have a minimum of 5 years job related experience and exposure to supervising a team. Middle east experience is desirable.

Moreover you would be a natural communicator, able to build strong relationships and a coach. You should be able to come up with creative solutions for challenging issues and would be a fast paced individual. You must have a strong knowledge of international Occupational Health and Safety Legislation, Regulations and Codes of Practice.
